2013 UPDATE!!!

Seeing a lot of new members on the site, wondering how you found us - friends showing you obscure bootlegs?   Catching the show on itunes?   It's not on DVD (and at this time MTV doesn't seem interested in releasing it,) so we're always happy to hear how folks are finding our shows.

We always hope to find ways to bring GTB and WTA back, through many of the creative team are off working on other projects this year.   Sean Baker's film STARLET (in which there is a quick glimpse of…

2012 coming to a close

Obviously there is not much activity though we, the creators of the show(s) are looking to keep these forums, FAQs and archives open and available to the loyal fans who have followed us here, as well as on our twitter and facebook pages.

No news currently on DVD releases for Warren the Ape - at the present time the outlook seems grim.   MTV and other networks are hesitant to release cult shows on DVD these days and would rather spend less money to stream them online.   And…

Photographer Brian McCarty got a drunk-dial answering machine message from Warren, and met up with him at Point Dume beach for some recent photos --- the link here.

As yet, no word on a DVD.   HuluPlus and Itunes remain the only way for people to catch prior episodes of Warren.

For more information on Greg & Warren check out the FAQ, featured in our FORUMS!

A quick note to all the fans and supporters of the show, we are so greatly appreciative of your kind words and enthusiasm, your help in spreading the word and the interactions we've had on Warren's Facebook and Twitter pages.

We wanted to take the time for a brief Q&A about the show and its fate...

At this time we do not know the fate of Warren. MTV has not yet ordered more, and they have several months in which to make up their… Continue

Hey - Just bought 2 of the Passion coffee mugs. A little blasphemy with breakfast really gets you going! Who is designing this stuff? The image seems a bit arbitrarily placed in the wrap around border. That being said having a GTB icon is just good karma. Passion of the Bunny is the funniest thing I have ever seen. First time I saw it I had to pause the Tivo to avert a laughter driven cardiac event. Well, we're all going to hell for this one. See you there.

Was very happy to see Greg is still doing OK. You're really good at what you do.

I'm looking for "Greg's Directorial Debut", the video that was once posted on the IFC site where Greg is rolling around in the money. Any advice as to where i should look??

Dan...just saw a post about the Short Circuit remake. I hated the cutsey poo original but I can see the potential for a really subversive take. Keep in mind that every innocent needs a Warrenesque foil. Good luck, buddy.

Hey thanks, was just signing on to post this month's blog post. Thanks so much for the good wishes, but I gotta be completely honest and say that the article is a little misleading. I'm not writing a subversive or "edgy" movie. It's basically the same film, but with some new characters (and some old ones) along with many new concepts. I'm writing a family film through and through, that will hopefully also appeal to older folks. It's a comedy, it's a lot of fun, and it celebrates the original. Most of all, it tries to keep very faithful to the original Johnny Five.

I'm beyond stoked about working on this - it was one of my favorite movies growing up (not in high school but elementary). Along with Goonies, Ghostbusters and Gremlins, Short Circuit was the only beloved summer film from my childhood that didn't begin with G.

Odd question - is that music from the IFC series, (it's similar sounding to the jepoardy theme but with whistling in it?) is that public domain? I think I've heard it on other shows before, and if it is public domain, I'd like to use it in something. If it isn't PD, it's just a catchy little tune stuck in my head. If indeed, you even know what tune I'm on about.

You need to be a member of GREG THE BUNNY and WARREN THE APE to add comments!
