I see a "Many faces of Greg The Bunny" collage at the top of the screen, but exactly how many times has Greg's etheric essence been transferred between bodies?
Is this process similar to the famous "Time Lord regeneration"?
Excellent question and is not on the current FAQ - there have been five "hero" Greg the Bunny puppets in all, but only four have truly been used on screen.
Junktape Greg, the early IFC Greg, Fox Greg (all pictured in the banner) and a second IFC version used for the reunion special & most recent episodes.
All have taken a lot of abuse. There was a second IFC Greg that was never used, and several clones used on the Fox show for full-body shots and even an oversized Greg for wide shots. Most of these puppets were never used - since Greg has no specific pattern, he is VERY difficult to duplicate accurately, making them very obvious when used, at least to those of us who know Greg well.
We actually do have some footage of public access Greg confronting the first incarnation of his "new body," which is kind of like having the 10th and 4th doctor meet one another... We'll have to get that footage posted...
My favorite Greg is the one in the middle with the button eyes in that banner you mentioned.
I loved the red and white scarf he would wear on the older IFC shorts. it was a great look to be honest for Greg. I also liked the more childlike speak like maybe the 10 or 11 year old Greg if that makes sense.
I don't want Greg the Bunny to grow up and reach puberty.
Greg's head shape has varied quite a bit too. It appears the original IFC Greg had a really short, egg-shaped head. While the FOX Greg had an almost "cork-shaped" head... cylindrical but tapered down to the nose which then kinda goes all flat.
The middle Greg in the banner is my fave too. He seems to have more of an organic shape to his head... more bunny shaped.
And I think Greg already HAS grown up and reached maturity... this is it. His kid-like demeanor IS his grown-up personality! LOL!
